From the director of I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO, and featuring LaKeith Stanfield, this film chronicles the life and work of Ernest Cole. One of the first Black freelance photographers in South Africa, Cole’s early pictures, shocking at the time of their first publication, revealed to the world Black life under apartheid. LaKeith Stanfield provides the voice of Cole, truly helping to bring his words and untold story to life.
Winner of the top documentary prize at Cannes, attend this free screening on New York premiere day, followed by a talk and Q&A with the Director, Raoul Peck and Dr. Michael Gillespie.
